Terms & Conditions

Last updated 01 Oct 2026

Welcome to JemputJemput. These Terms & Conditions apply to everyone who creates an account, builds or publishes a digital invitation, rents equipment, or books a vendor through our website. By registering or using our services you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About us and these terms

JemputJemput ("we", "us") provides a platform to create and share digital invitations for weddings, engagements, aqiqah, birthdays and other celebrations, and offers related products, equipment rental and a directory of independent vendors. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the new terms.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate information and be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • Verify your email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • Each account may create a limited number of invitations (one by default). Contact us if you need more.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or has false details.
  • We send emails and in-app notifications about your account, payments and requests. Please keep your email address up to date.

3. Digital invitations

  • Free preview. Every new invitation starts on our free Starter package. You can build and privately preview it at no cost. Guests can only open it after it is published on a paid package.
  • Packages and features. Each package includes the features listed on our Packages page, such as RSVP, personalised guest links, gallery, programme, live wishes wall, private planning notes, gift QR, theme customisation, gift registry, and the venue, location and contact details shown on the page. Your invitation has the features of the package you bought at the time you bought it. Features not in your package are not available, and we may show a demo of what a package includes.
  • Validity. A published invitation stays online for 3 months from the date it is first published. Unpublishing and publishing again does not restart this period. After it ends, guests can no longer open the invitation. Ask us if you need more time. Please export your guest list (Excel or PDF) before your invitation goes offline, because we may remove expired invitations and their data after a reasonable time.
  • Your link. Invitation links are given on a first-come basis. We may change or remove a link that is misleading, offensive or infringes someone's rights.
  • Themes. Themes, layouts, artwork, animations and templates remain our property or our licensors'. You may use them only for your own invitation, and may not copy, resell or redistribute them.
  • Accuracy. You are responsible for checking every name, date, time, address, map link, phone number, du'a, verse and translation before you publish and share. We are not responsible for errors in the content you provide.

4. Publishing, locking and change requests

  • Review before you publish. Before you publish for the first time you must preview your invitation and confirm that you have checked it. Please check it carefully.
  • Locked once published. To keep every guest's link and details consistent, a published invitation is locked: you can no longer edit or delete it yourself. You can still manage your guest list, view RSVPs and wishes, run the live wishes wall, and upgrade your package.
  • Change requests. To change something on a published invitation, send us a change request describing what you would like changed. Our team makes the change for you. Each invitation includes a number of free change requests, shown on your change request page (one by default; we may give more or fewer for a particular invitation). Group your edits into one request where you can, because each request uses one change.
  • Extra changes. Once your free changes are used, we will tell you the fee for a further change before we start. Work begins after the fee is paid. A change fee is generally non-refundable once we have started the work.
  • Our right to decline. We may decline a change request that breaks these terms, is unlawful or misleading, or cannot reasonably be done. A declined or cancelled request does not count as one of your free changes.
  • Upgrades. You can move to a higher package at any time. If you have already paid for a package, you pay only the difference between what you have paid and the price of the new package, at the price shown when you upgrade.
  • Our staff may also edit a published invitation, for example to carry out your change request or to correct a breach of these terms.

5. Your content

  • You keep ownership of the text, photos, music and other material you upload ("Your Content"), and you give us permission to store, process, resize, compress, trim and display it as needed to run your invitation.
  • You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, including photos of other people, music and artwork. You are responsible for any copyright or licence needed for the music you upload for your invitation or live wishes wall, and we are not responsible for how you use it.
  • Photos are automatically resized and converted, and songs may be compressed and cut to the part you choose, to save space. Keep your own copies of your original files.
  • Do not upload or publish anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, misleading, or that infringes anyone's copyright or privacy. Content must respect Malaysian law and public morality.
  • We may remove content or take an invitation offline, with or without notice, if it breaks these terms or we receive a valid complaint. Where possible we will tell you why.

6. Guest information, wishes and privacy

  • When you add guests' names and phone numbers, or guests reply to your invitation, you are responsible for having a proper reason to hold that information and for using it only for your event.
  • We collect and use personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), only to provide our services, process payments, support you and improve the website. We do not sell personal data.
  • Wishes. Guests' names and wishes may be shown on your invitation in the "Wishes & Prayers" section, and wishes posted on the live wishes screen may be seen by everyone at your event. You can switch the wishes section off and hide or delete any wish. You are responsible for the wishes shown on your invitation.
  • Family access. If you switch on family access, anyone you give the access code to can read and edit your private planning notes. Share the code only with people you trust, and switch family access off when you no longer need it.
  • Guests do not need an account to reply. Do not share personal guest links with people you do not trust.
  • You may ask us to correct or delete your personal data using the contact details below. Some records, such as payments, must be kept for legal and accounting reasons.

7. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and may change at any time. The price shown when you pay is the price you pay. Promotions are for a limited time and may end without notice.
  • You can pay online through Billplz, or by bank transfer to the account shown on our Payment page. Only pay to the accounts published on our website or given to you by our official channels.
  • Your package, upgrade or change is activated once we receive confirmation of your payment. For bank transfers, please send your receipt so we can match it to your account; this can take some time during business hours.
  • Payment through Billplz is subject to Billplz's own terms. We never see or store your card or bank login details.
  • We issue a receipt for every payment received. Upgrades and change fees are shown on the receipt as their own items.

8. Cancellations and refunds

  • Because digital invitations are delivered immediately, payments for a package are generally non-refundable once your invitation has been published or the package's features have been used. The same applies to upgrades.
  • If you paid but your package was not activated because of an error on our side, or you were charged twice, contact us with your receipt and we will correct it or refund the amount.
  • If your invitation cannot be delivered because of a fault on our side that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, we will refund the amount you paid for that package.
  • Refunds, where approved, are made to the original payment method or bank account within a reasonable time.

9. Equipment rental

  • Rental availability is shown on the website and is confirmed only when we accept your booking. Pending, confirmed and paid bookings reserve the item for the dates chosen.
  • You must check the item and any add-ons against the checklist when it is delivered, and confirm receipt. Please report any damage or missing items straight away, ideally with photos or video.
  • You are responsible for the item from delivery until it is returned. You must return it on time and in the same condition, apart from normal wear. You may be charged for loss, damage or late return.
  • Rentals may be cancelled through your account before they are dispatched. Deposits and fees for cancelled bookings follow the terms stated for that rental at the time of booking.

10. Vendors

  • Vendors listed on our website are independent businesses. When you request a booking, the vendor confirms or declines it; a request is not a confirmed booking until the vendor confirms.
  • Any agreement, price, deposit or service is between you and the vendor. We are not responsible for the quality, delivery or conduct of a vendor, although we do review listings before they appear.
  • Please contact us if you have a problem with a vendor listed on our website and we will help where we can.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to: try to break into or disrupt the website; use bots or scrapers; send spam through the contact form or guest features; copy our themes, code or content; impersonate another person; or use the website for any unlawful purpose. Reasonable limits apply to protect the website, including limits on registrations, messages and requests.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep the website running but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may put the website into maintenance, which may temporarily make it and your invitation links unavailable, and we may add, change or remove features and themes. We keep regular backups, but you should keep your own copies of your photos and information.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or goodwill, or for problems caused by events outside our control, such as internet or power failures, payment provider outages, or actions of third parties including vendors and guests. Our total liability to you for any claim about a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Malaysian consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

14. Complaints and contact

If you have a question, complaint or request about your data, please contact us through the contact form on our homepage, the WhatsApp button on the website, or our support email. We aim to respond promptly and to resolve issues fairly.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Malaysia, after we have first tried in good faith to resolve it with you directly.
